The Petitioner is at liberty to approach the provident fund authorities for releasing of his PF accumulations/pension, if applicable. The learned advocate for the Petitioner submits that he would make an independent application to the Management for releasing the leave encashment amount. As such, these two issues are not being considered in this petition. 2.

The Petitioner'

s only grievance surviving in this petition is that the gratuity amount which is with the Education Officer has not been paid. The learned advocate submits on instructions that the Management has not tendered a proposal for releasing the gratuity.

Considering the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, as the Petitioner has already made an application to Respondent No.4 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad Latur, we direct the said authority to peruse the service book of the Petitioner, calculate his total length of service and going by the last drawn salary as is prescribed in the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 quantify the gratuity amount and release the same within a period of 45 days from today.
