The dispute is with regard to the pay scale.

The petitioners at the relevant time were working as Building Inspector. The pay scale of Rs.5500-9000 was awarded to them except petitioner no. 5. The respondent/employer passed Resolution to that effect and a detailed proposal was forwarded to respondent no.1/State for sanction. On affidavit it has been submitted that respondent no. 1 directed the Municipal Corporation to re-

2 wp 13981.18 submit the proposal after scrutinising the details by its communication dated 20.12.2011. However it is submitted that thereafter no further steps have been taken by the Municipal Corporation.

The respondent / Municipal Corporation shall reply to the queries as raised by respondent no. 1 and re-submit the proposal after scrutinising the details within a period of three (03) months from today. Needless to state, on receipt of the proposal, respondents no. 1 / State shall take decision with regard to the said proposal on its own merits, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months thereafter. Till the proposal is decided by the State, the interim order passed by this Court shall continue.

Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
