Present petition challenges the advertisement dated 04.11.2025 issued by respondent No. 5 to the limited extent of post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical).

The grievance raised by the petitioner that the qualification mentioned in the said advertisement are irrational and discriminated. According to the petitioner, the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) is a Group 'B' Engineering post identical in status responsibility, pay-scale and cadre to Junior Engineer (Civil) Group 'B' for each diploma or degree or higher qualification is expressly permitted. 3.

We have heard the petitioners and the Advocate appearing for respondent No. 5. Respondent No. 5 submits a communication dated 13.12.2025 which is taken on record by marking Exhibit 'X' stating that the grievance raised by the petitioner has been taken into consideration by the authorities and they have agreed to make the necessary corrections and permit the petitioners to participate in the advertisement dated 04.11.2025.

In view of the communication, the Advocate for the petitioners states that his grievance stands redressed as the prayer Clause 'B' which is pressed in service in the present petition is satisfied. He further states that at this stage, he do not propose to press Prayer Clause 'C' of petition. However, he submitted that in the communication dated 13.12.2025, Educational qualification for the candidates to participate in the advertisement is mentioned as diploma and higher educational qualification which according to him does not clearly mentions that the candidates holding a decree in the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) is mentioned.

The learned Advocate for the respondent No. 5 makes a statement that the candidates holding diploma, degree as well as higher educational degree are permitted to participate. 6.

In the light of the above, the writ petition stands allowed in terms of prayer Clause 'B' in pursuance to the letter issued by respondent No. 5 dated 13.12.2025. The statement made by respondent No. 5 in respect of allowing the candidates having diploma, degree as well as higher educational degree to participate in the advertisement is accepted as undertaking.
