Learned counsel for petitioner submits that no decision is taken by respondent - authority on the application of the petitioner seeking correction of the caste in the school record. The case of petitioner is wrongly recorded. The same ought to have been recorded as "Kasab". The petitioner has given representation. However, no decision has been taken by the respondents on the same. It is for the Education Officer to consider the said aspect.

The petitioner may once again file a comprehensive representation with the competent authority. The competent authority shall consider the said application/representation for change of the caste in school record, on its own merits and shall process the same ignoring the fact that it has been presented after the petitioner has left the school. The same be done expeditiously by the authority on receipt of the application/representation from the petitioner. 3.
