We have heard the learned Advocates for the respective sides and have perused the Petition paper-book with their assistance.

Considering the order that we are passing, we are not required to take into account the contentious submissions of the parties, since it would amount to making observations on their merits. Suffice it to say that as the hearing on declaring surplus teachers was scheduled today, and as the litigating parties are

(( 2 )) 904-WP-13942-2018 before us, we direct the Education Officer to adjourn the proceedings to 15.12.2023. We also direct all the litigating parties before us, to appear before the Education Officer on 15.12.2023 at 11.30 a.m. 3.

All the litigating parties are at liberty to tender their written notes of submissions and if desired, a legal representative is permitted to address the Education Officer. Thereafter, the Education Officer shall pass appropriate reasoned orders within thirty days. After the orders are passed, if any party is aggrieved by the conclusions of the Education Officer, he/they would be at liberty to avail of a legal remedy as is permissible in law. 4.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed off.
