By this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking direction that, the tribe claim of the petitioner which is pending since 25.08.2014 be directed to be decided expeditiously. Besides the said prayer, the petitioner has also challenged the notice issued by the employer dated 28.10.2025 by which the petitioner has been called upon to explain as to why an adverse action should not be taken against the petitioner for non submission of caste validity certificate.

Considering the fact that, admittedly, tribe claim of the petitioner is pending since 2014 and the petitioner apprehends adverse action for non submission of caste validity certificate, we direct the caste scrutiny committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner within a period of six (06) months from today. Pending decision of tribe claim of the petitioner, no adverse action be taken against the petitioner. We make it clear that, the protection granted by this Court will operate only till decision of the tribe claim of the petitioner.
