The applicants are apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.0445/2024, dated 31.10.2024, registered at Pundlik Nagar Police Station, District Chh. Sambhajinagar, for the offences punishable under sections 351(3), 3(5), 140(4), 115(2) of BNS 2023. 4.

The case against the applicants by the prosecution is that the Applicants along with one Mr. Pawan Rathod abducted Sanjay Rathod in Scorpio on 22.10.2024 from the house of the uncle of the victim. Thereafter, the victim was taken in Scorpio from Aurangabad to Sangli and held in a farm. Mr. Pawan Rathod thereafter called the wife of the victim and demanded Rs.5,00,000/-. It is also stated that the victim was able to escape himself from the custody and returned back. Thereafter FIR was registered.

Prima facie, considering the material on record, involvement of the applicant cannot be ruled out in the offence. The offences are serious in nature, as such, it would not be a case for grant of anticipatory bail.

The application stands dismissed.
