The petitioner has made an application for correction of date of birth in the C.B.S.E. certificate. The petitioner has submitted the application to the School and the School in turn has submitted it to the Central Board of Study and Education (C.B.S.E.).

It is stated that (C.B.S.E.) has not considered the application on the ground that the same is not as per the revised Rules.

The petitioner has submitted the application on 22.4.2013 and the School in turn has forwarded it to the C.B.S.E. on 22.4.2013. The Rules existing on the date the proposal was forwarded to C.B.S.E. would apply.

The C.B.S.E. shall consider the application/proposal seeking correction of date of birth in the C.B.S.E. certificate as per the Rules existing prior to 2015. The decision shall be taken expeditiously, preferably within three

(3) months.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
