The certificate of the petitioner is cancelled and confiscated on the ground that the caste certificate issued to the petitioner mentions wrong spelling of the tribe. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already filed application with the Sub-Divisional Officer for getting tribe certificate of Koli Mahadev Scheduled Tribe with corrected spelling, however the application is not decided yet.

The petitioner shall obtain attested copy of the caste certificate from the Committee and file said attested copy of the
2/2 937-WP-14309-2018.odt tribe certificate of Koli Mahadev with the Sub-Divisional Officer. After submission of the same, the Sub-Divisional Officer shall consider the attested copy of the tribe certificate issued by the Scrutiny Committee and shall issue corrected tribe certificate of Koli Mahadev scheduled tribe to the petitioner within two weeks of the submission of attested copy.

The petitioner thereafter, within a period of two weeks, shall submit the proposal and corrected certificate to the Scrutiny Committee and on receipt of the same, the Scrutiny Committee shall decide the validation proceedings in respect of the claim of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within six months from the date of submission of the fresh tribe certificate and proposal. 4.
The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
