By an earlier order dated 2nd August, passed in the Petition filed by this Petitioner, bearing Writ Petition No. 6302 of 2020, the Respondents were directed to deal with the claim for gratuity. An order was passed on 20th July, 2023 in Contempt Petition No. 44/2022 in WP No.6302/2020 and the Contempt Petition was disposed off. The Writ Petition was also disposed off by directing the Respondent Management to submit pension papers. The Petitioner has received gratuity amount as well as pension and all retiral benefits. By this Petition, the Petitioner seeks interest on the delayed payment.

Since not a single representation on this count has been made by the Petitioner, we permit him to lodge a representation specifically putting forth the interest component on the delayed payment. The

56wp14695-23 competent authority shall take a decision on such application of the Petitioner and issue appropriate orders within 120 days. 3.
