The petitioners are claiming benefit of 'one step up pay scale' for working in the tribal areas as per the Government policy dated 14.08.2008.

The writ petition is disposed of directing respondent no. 5 to
- 3 - examine entitlement of the petitioners by undertaking a scrutiny within eight weeks.

If the petitioners are found entitled to have one step up pay scale, it shall be released together with the arrears, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks from the decision to be taken by the respondent nos. 5-Education Officer (Secondary).
