Perused the complaint and medical papers showing the nature of the injury. The Petitioner does not say that the head injury suffered by the victim was of grievous nature. The Police did not register offence under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. The Petitioner is aggrieved because of this action on the part of the Police. We do not however, intend to interfere in the investigation. If the Petitioner is not happy with the investigation, he may file a private complaint alleging offence of attempt to commit murder.
Criminal writ petition stands dismissed.
