Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has impugned the order of the Caste Scrutiny Committee dated 28.11.2024 rejecting the application to call witnesses.

Issue notice to respondents. Learned AGP waives service of notice for respondent nos. 1 and 2.

It appears a different kind of the order wherein the application of calling of witnesses have been rejected by observing that reasons for rejection should be mentioned in the final order.

Prima facie the impugned order is illegal. The committee should have take a concrete decision on the application. Hence the impugned order rejecting the application for calling the witnesses is liable to be quashed and set aside.

Writ Petition is allowed.

The impugned order dated 28.11.2024 stands quashed and set aside.

8.

Respondent no.2/Scrutiny committee is directed to take concrete decision on the application of the petitioner for calling the witnesses at the earliest.
