The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that since the Petitioners', who were the members of the Gram Panchayat, had been disqualified from the membership of the Gram Panchayat due to non-payment of the House Tax, this Petition was filed against the orders of Competent Authorities.

The learned Advocate for the Respondent No. 4 submits that the term for which the Petitioners were elected as the Members of the Gram Panchayat has come to an end in the year 2018, and therefore nothing survives in the Petition.

The learned Advocate for the Respondent No. 3 does not dispute the above submissions made by the learned Advocate for the Petitioners and the learned Advocate for Respondent No. 4.

Considering that the issue involved in the Petition was in respect of the disqualification from the post of Sarpanch, Up-sarpanch and Member of the Gram Panchayat and since the term of five years has come to an end, nothing survives in the Writ Petition and the same stands disposed off as infructuous.
