In this petition, notice has been served on all the three respondents. The respondent No.1 is represented by learned AGP, while there is no representation on behalf of respondent Nos.2 and 3, despite service.

The limited prayer of the petitioner in the present petition is that his representation moved before the respondent No.3 i.e. Headmaster of the concerned School for correction of the name of his caste in the school record has not been dealt with by the said respondent. It is the case of the petitioner that in the record of his family members in the column of caste "Maratha" is recorded, but inadvertently in the school record of the petitioner his caste is Shrikant Malani

14.WP.666.2025.doc recorded as "Kunbi - Maratha." In this backdrop, the petitioner is praying for correction in the record.

As per Rule 26.4 read with Appendix VI of the Secondary Schools Code, the headmaster is supposed to forward such an application / representation to the Education Officer for appropriate orders, in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.3 - Headmaster to forward the representation moved by the petitioner on 09th December 2024, to the respondent No.2 - Education Officer (Primary), Zilla Parishad, Parbhani, within two weeks from today.

The respondent No.2 - Education Officer (Primary) is directed to decide the said representation of the petitioner within two weeks of receipt of the same from respondent No.3, in accordance with Rule 26.4 read with Appendix VI of the Secondary Schools Code. 6.

The petition is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
