The Petitioner has boldly canvassed before us that he is a candidate who had manufactured a bogus certificate and had surrendered it to the Competent Authority, after the FIR has been registered. Criminal Application No.109/2023 seeking quashing of the FIR is pending before the concerned bench at Aurangabad. He prays for a Writ of Mandamus from this Court that despite the FIR has been registered against him, he should be appointed as a Police Constable, since he has been selected. 2.

We would loathe to issue a Writ of Mandamus in such matters. We leave it to the Competent Authority to consider the antecedents of the

( 2 ) 943 wp 89.24 Petitioner while dealing with his candidature for appointment as a Police Constable. Hence, we express no opinion.
