PER COURT :

Neither the Management, nor the School Committee, has dealt with the subject of granting the benefit of selection grade to the Petitioners. No decision has been arrived at. It is reported that there are two factions amongst the Management. The Headmaster has unilaterally sent a proposal to the Education Officer seeking approval to the grant of selection grade to the Petitioners. The Education Officer has concluded that there is no decision taken by the Management, there is no recommendation made by the Management and the School Committee, as well, has not put forth any such decision for approval.

In view of the above, we do not find that the Education Officer can be faulted in passing the impugned order. This Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed.

Needless to state, if the Management or the School Committee, in terms of the provisions of law, takes a decision and forwards the same for approval to the Education Officer, the same can be considered on it's own merits.
