The petitioner is seeking correction of the revenue record, in respect of which the respondent Tahsildar has already passed an order on 14.12.2007, and which decision has reached finality in the form of dismissal of the appeal against that order.

By the communication dated 14.05.2024, pursuant to the request of the petitioner, the Talathi of the concerned village has sought permission for correction of the record.

We dispose of the writ petition directing respondent no. 2 to issue necessary instructions and take appropriate steps in light of the observations made herein above and the proposal forwarded by the Talathi (Exh. H), dated 14.05.2024, if there is no other legal impediment, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within four weeks.
