The petitioner seeks direction to decide his tribe claim referred to the committee, as he wants the benefit of caste for admission to the Engineering Course for the academic year 20182019. 2.

Mr. Karlekar, learned A.G.P. appears for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and submits that authority would decide the proceedings on its own merits.

Considering the urgency in the matter, the respondent No. 2 shall endeavour to decide the validation proceedings in respect of the tribe claim of the petitioner expeditiously and by end of May-2018.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
