In spite of this Court having passed order from time to time, because of the abdication of the statutory duties by the Collector, things have not undergone any visible change.

Since it is merely a matter of passing orders in the proceedings under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, which mandates the Collector to pass the order within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application, for the reasons best known to the respondent/Collector, no order has been passed on the application filed by the petitioner on 15.02.2023.

We dispose of the petition by directing the respondent to decide the Petitioner's application as expeditiously as possible and in any case within two weeks.
