By an order dated 16.12.2019 passed by this Court (Coram : S. V. Gangapurwala & Avinash G. Gharote, JJ.), the maintainability of this Petition was to be considered before entertaining it.

However, due to the subsequent events, this Petition can be disposed off without going into the merits of the contentions of the parties. 3.

Suffice it to say, the learned AGP has placed on record a communication dated 08.03.2023 received by him from Shri V. S. Deshmukh, Deputy Secretary, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), which is marked as "X' for identification. It is conveyed that there is no legal 1/2

907-WP-14766-2019.odt impediment to proceed to conduct the interviews of the candidates who have appeared for the Deputy Education Officer Examination. The interviews would be held as per the schedule of the MPSC. This issue would be dealt with by the MPSC in their ensuing meeting.

In view of the above statement, the learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that this Petition can be disposed off. 5.

As such, this Petition is disposed off. Needless to state, the interviews of the candidates would be conducted by the MPSC as per its schedule without causing delay.
