The affidavit is filed by the Chief Executive Officer, Ahmednagar Cantonment Board, Ahmednagar. Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the affidavit read thus :

"2.

It is submitted that the names of some of the residents were omitted from the Election Roll as per the orders passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in SLP (C) 20687-20688 OF 2016 wherein it is directed that the names of residents residing in un-numbered houses are not to be included in the voters list.

It is submitted that, the cantonment Board Ahmednagar will include the names of the present petitioners in supplementary voter list or revised electorate roll whichever is earlier, if the present petitioners applies for inclusion of the name & if they are residing at a house numbered by the Cantonment Board or at the address mentioned in the petition."

In view of the fact that the Cantonment Board, Ahmednagar has assured that the names of the petitioners would be included in the supplementary voter list or revised electorate roll, whichever is earlier, the grievance of the petitioners does not survive. The petitioners may approach the respondents within three days. 3.
