The Petitioner claims to be working on the post of a 'Construction Supervisor' since 2014 with Respondent No.2/University at Nanded. Because of Covid-19 infection, he was absent. He has been issued with a show cause notice dated 06/10/2023 by Respondent No.2 for remaining unauthorizedly absent. In this backdrop, he prays for a direction for payment of his salary from October 2023 on-wards.

We find that, there are several disputed issues. Moreover, the Petitioner can approach the Grievances Committee

15683.23wp (2) of Respondent No.2 under Section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 (the 2016 Act).

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off, with liberty to the Petitioner to avail of the remedy under Section 79 of the 2016 Act. If such a grievance is voiced by the Petitioner, we expect the University to take a decision thereon within a period of 90 days.
