The Petitioner is a lady Sarpanch of Ambadi Grampanchayat, Tq. Kinwat Dist. Nanded. After her marriage, she has got elected as Sarpanch in December, 2022. Her claim of belonging to ' Andh'

Scheduled Tribe category is pending adjudication before the Respondent No.2 Committee at Yawatmal.

Heard the learned Advocate.

This Petition is disposed off with the following directions: (A) Respondent No.2 Competent authority would decide the claim of the Petitioner on or before 30.06.2024.

1019wp1019-23-23 (B) The Petitioner would render wholehearted cooperation to the Committee and would not seek adjournments on unreasonable or trivial grounds, lest the Committee would be justified in progressing to the further stages in the preceding. (C) We protect the Petitioner'

s Post as Sarpanch only for the reason that her validity claim is pending and not for any other reason, until 30th June, 2024 or till the decision of the Committee, whichever is earlier.
