The petitioner is anxious that his proposal for premature release is not being considered albeit the committee had considered it haphazardly on 06-09-2023.

The learned APP, on instructions, submits that as per the minutes of the committee dated 06-09-2023, medical examination reports of the petitioner as also the couple of other prisoners have been solicited and the committee would consider the proposals thereafter.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's proposal as expeditiously as possible and in any case within one month.
