We have perused the FIR and the related papers. The FIR specifically named the applicant to have made a demand of Rs.75,000/- for doing the work of the informant. The demand has been duly verified in the presence of an independent witness. Even a sum of Rs.70,000/- (currency notes applied with anthracene powder) came to be recovered from the present applicant in the presence of Panch witnesses. Section 7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act applies against the public servant or even non-public
