Mr. Deshmukh, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner has been held to be eligible by the academic council and is also selected.

Mr. Patnurkar, the learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 and 3 submits that, the decision of the academic council will have to be placed before the Executive Council and further process is required to be conducted.

The prayer in the present writ petition is limited to the extent that the Vice Chancellor be directed to include the name

2 wp 248.18 of the petitioner in final eligibility list published and further direct to issue call letter to the petitioner for interview to the post of Associate Professor in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science treating the petitioner as eligible for the said post. 4.

Even according to the petitioner, now the academic council has held the petitioner to be eligible and possessing requisite qualification. The purpose of the writ petition would stand served.
