Our attention has been drawn to order dated 14/3/2024 passed by this Court in this Petition. Following prayers are made in this petition:

"(b) This Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue writ of mandamus and quash and set aside the G.R. dated 18/9/2023 regarding the adoption of Government Schools passed by Respondent No.1 which is annexed at Exhibit B. (c) This Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue writ of mandamus and direct the Respondents to cancel the agreements if any signed with the private entity for giving schools on adoption till this date."

Mr. Patil, learned State Counsel makes a statement in the Court that, the contract given to a Gutka Company pursuant to the Government Resolution dated 18/9/2023, was withdrawn. The petitioner has not brought on record any other instance of adoption of Government School by any Company which is engaged in manufacture, distribution etc. of product like Gutka.

Public Interest Litigation No.18 of 2024 is dismissed. 4.

Petitioner to deposit an amount of Rs.2 Lakhs, as directed by order dated 14/3/2024, within one month from today.
