D ATE : JANUARY 4 , 202 Challenge raised in this Writ Petition is to the communication dated 1/12/2022 issued by the respondent by which the petitioner has been informed that there has been a change in its tariff from HT (Industrial) to HT (Commercial). The effect thereto has been sought to be implemented from November - 2020. Demand has accordingly been made to pay the difference in the amount of tariff.

It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the respondent that the petitioner has a remedy of approaching the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum at Amravati for challenging the aforesaid communication. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that since coercive action is likely to be taken, some protection may be granted till the aforesaid remedy is availed.

The Writ Petition is thus disposed of by permitting the petitioner to avail alternate remedy before the forum at Amravati. For a period of 10 days from today, no coercive steps be taken to enforce the communication dated 1/12/2022. All points raised are kept open.
