25TH April, 2019 It is surprising that the petition is pending since 2007, and is coming up for hearing in 2019 - after about a period of twelve years. The petitioner has recently changed the counsel, and is seeking adjournment of the matter.

It is informed to us that the petitioner has voluntarily retired from service. Even otherwise, we find that the petitioner by now would have attained the age of superannuation. The claim is for promotion. The matter is, therefore, dismissed for want of prosecution. Judge Judge |hedau|
