DATED : JANUARY 06, 2017 This application is filed by applicant/accused in the proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act for extension of time to deposit amount. The order dated 15/12/2016 passed by this Court reveals that applicant was directed to pay 50% of amount of cheque of Rs.3,23,772/-, which comes to Rs.1,61,886/-.

Shri Mohta, learned Counsel for applicant, submits that out of the said amount, amount of Rs.80,000/- is deposited earlier and balance amount of Rs.81,886/- was to be paid within three weeks from 15/12/2016, which period expires today and thus, seeks further time of four weeks as a last chance for depositing the balance amount.
