Against the disqualification of the petitioner as a member of the village Panchayat, an appeal is pending on the file of the State Government. We are informed that neither the application for grant of interim relief is decided nor the appeal.

In view of the above and in view of the submissions made, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing the State Government to decide the prayer of the petitioner for grant of interim relief, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within a period of four weeks from today. 4.

Petition stands disposed of, accordingly.
