DATE : 21/02/2018 By this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the action on the part of the Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation in awarding the contract of providing security guards to the respondent no.2.
It appears that the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous due to passage of time. The award of the contract was for a period of one year and the period of one year has expired in December, 2017. In the absence of any interim relief, the respondent no.2 had provided security guards to the Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation. In the circumstances of the case,

It would be necessary to dispose of the writ petition by keeping the points raised in the petition open. Hence, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
