It is submitted that the land of the petitioners was acquired by the respondents long back. Now the Government does not require the said land and the decision has been taken by them to return the land to the persons from whom it has been acquired. It is the contention of the petitioners that the petitioners are still in possession of the said land.

The petitioners have already made a representation/application to the Collector, Amravati (page 35 of the writ petition) on 14/03/2016 for return of their land.

In case the representation/application of the petitioners for return of their land is pending with the

12-WP-5693-22 2/2 Collector, Amravati, the Collector shall consider all the factual matrix of the matter and take a decision upon it in accordance with law within a period of six months from receipt of this order.
