DATE : 04.07.2016 The only prayer made by the petitioner in the instant petition is for a direction to the respondents to pay the amount towards commutation of pension as per the 6th Pay Commission recommendations to the petitioner. The petitioner also seeks some ancillary relief.

Shri Deshmukh, the learned Counsel for the Municipal Council states that the representation made by the petitioner for seeking the aforesaid relief has been decided by the Municipal Council on 26.6.2016 and if the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, it would be necessary for the petitioner to take appropriate steps. It is stated that the cause for filing the writ petition would not survive, in view of the subsequent development.

0407wp210.16.odt In view of the statement made by the learned Counsel for the Municipal Council, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs. The petitioner is, however, free to take appropriate action against the rejection of the prayers made by the petitioner in the representation.

Order accordingly. No costs.
