The appellant is reported to be dead.

The appellant filed this appeal challenging the judgment passed in Special Criminal Case No. 4 of 1994 on 18th July, 2003 convicting the appellant for the offence punishable under Sections 7, 13(1)(d) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Shri M.J. Khan, learned A.P.P. has produced on record the Death Certificate of the appellant stating that the appellant has expired on 9th May, 2012. Taken on record and marked as "X" for identification.

The legal representatives of the appellant have not moved any application in the matter.

In view of above, the appeal stands abated as per Section 394 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. JUDGE RRaut..
