The applicant is arraigned for the offence punishable under Sections 363, 364-A, 507 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code in Crime No.1 of 2020.

The earlier Bail Application filed by the applicant, namely Criminal Application (BA) No.841 of 2020, was about to be dismissed by this Court, on merits when the same was withdrawn. This is the second application on the same set of circumstances. The only ground is that the trial has not commenced.

Considering that the Country was reeling under the Covid -19 pandemic, since last two years, the delay in commencing the trial, is explainable. The charge is already said to have been framed, considering which, I do not find any substance in the application and the same is dismissed.
