It appears that post conviction of the petitioner, prayer for parole was allowed and immediately, the petitioner came to be shifted to Open Prison at Morshi from Central Prison, Nagpur. However, the order granting parole is not given effect.

We see no reason as to why the order granting parole is not given effect in absence of there being reasonable cause.

In such an eventuality, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to extend the benefit of parole pursuant to the order dated 15th July, 2024 with immediate effect.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
