CORAM : A. S. CHANDURKAR AND URMILA JOSHI-PHALKE, JJ. DATE : September 21, 2022 The petitioner claims to belong to 'Thakur' (Schedule Tribe) and has sought verification of his tribe-claim. The petitioner is also pursuing is education. He was granted admission at the respondent No.2-College for B. Tech course. He has completed his said education in the year 2020 and is awaiting conferment of the degree. The petitioner was admitted at the said college from the Schedule Tribe category. The learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent No.1 submits that the proceedings before the Scrutiny Committee are kept on 27/09/2022.
In view of aforesaid, the following order is passed : (i) The Scrutiny Committee shall within a period of three months from 27/09/2022 take a decision on the petitioner's claim for issuance of validity certificate subject to the outcome of those proceedings. The decision taken be communicated to the petitioner.
(ii) It is open for the petitioner to pursue the matter with regard to issuance of degree certificate and leaving certificate
911-WP-428-21 2/2 with the respondent No.2 after adjudication of the proceedings by the Scrutiny Committee. The points raised in that regard are kept open.
The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.
