The petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved by the rejection of his claim for appointment on compassionate ground.

The petitioner's father had superannuated on 31.10.1996 after attaining the retiral age. The petitioner has thereafter claimed appointment on the compassionate ground.

The appointment on the compassionate ground is to be provided to the legal heirs of a person who either dies in harness or is required to take voluntary retirement on account of serious ailment.
