wp30.2022 ORAL JUDGMENT (Per Sunil B. Shukre, J.) Heard. Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by consent of learned counsel for the parties. 2.

We find that that the petitioner does not fall in any of the prohibited categories of prisoners mentioned in the Circular dated 25.3.2022, he being a prisoner convicted for an offence punishable under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code. Therefore, there is no reason for the prison authorities to deprive the petitioner of the facility of telephone / coin box. Accordingly, we allow the petition and direct the respondents to provide telephone / coin box facility to the petitioner in terms of Circular dated 12.2.2019 and 25.3.2022 forthwith.
