Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The impugned order challenged before this Court is dated 31/10/2022 below Exh.36 pending on the file of learned Family Court. The application for adjustment or set off the maintenance amount was rejected.

Learned counsel for the petitioner now submits that the divorce proceedings filed by the petitioner bearing H.M.P. No.A-643/2017 stands dismissed vide order dated 11/07/2023 on the ground that the petitioner failed to deposit the maintenance. Thus, the order, which was passed in the said proceedings dated 07/08/2019 for grant of maintenance of Rs.2,000/- to the respondent, was only an interim order till disposal of the said proceedings. Since the said petition is already disposed of, the present writ petition becomes infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. No order as to costs.
