By this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order of the respondent no.2, dated 04.02.2005, cancelling the provisional admission of the petitioner to the first year B.Pharm. Course, in the academic session 2004-05.

We had, after hearing the learned counsel for the parties, issued Rule in the writ petition on 28.03.2005. No interim relief was granted in favour of the petitioner, when the order of issuance of Rule was passed, or even thereafter. The admission of the petitioner pertains to the academic session 2004-05. If the petitioner's admission stands cancelled by the impugned communication, the cause for filing the writ petition must have been rendered infructuous. Even if it is assumed that the petitioner was continued by the respondent no.2-College of Pharmacy, the petitioner must have completed the B.Pharm. Course. In any event, since the cause for filing the writ petition would not survive after more than ten years, it would be necessary to dismiss the writ petition.

The writ petition is dismissed as such, with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged.
