By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks a direction against the respondents to categorize the petitioner for his release as, according to him, he has completed the term of life imprisonment.

Shri Bissa, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent nos.1 to 3 states on instructions, that a report pertaining to the categorization of the petitioner is prepared by the respondent nos.2 and 3 and it is submitted to the State Government for further action. It is stated that the State Government would take a decision as early as possible.

In view of the statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, we dispose of the Criminal Writ Petition with the direction against the State Government to decide the proposal pertaining to the

categorization of the petitioner as early as possible and positively within three months.

Order accordingly.
