The petitioner is employed as an '

Assistant Teacher" with the Zilla Parishad, Amravati. His caste claim is pending for verification with the Scrutiny Committee. A limited relief sought by the petitioner is a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously.

It is submitted by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondent no.1 that vigilance enquiry has been conducted and is pending for further consideration.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Scrutiny Committee to take a decision on the petitioner's caste claim within a period of three months from today. This shall be subject to the petitioner co-operating with the Scrutiny Committee. For

WP310.2020 2/2 this purpose, the petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 03.02.2020. Till the final orders are passed by the Scrutiny Committee, the services of the petitioner shall remain protected.

Rule accordingly. No costs.
