CORAM

: A.P.BHANGALE, J.

DATE : 7.8.2015.

Heard.

Appeal from Order No.81 of 2005 was decided on 20.1.2010. Even review application against that order came to be dismissed. Thus, the Award in the sum of Rs.4,00,000/- payable to the applicants/claimants is made final. The question which remains is rate of interest to be awarded upon the same. The learned Counsel representing the Union of India/respondent argued that interest @ 6 % may be awarded from the date of order passed by this Court; while on behalf of the claimants, learned Counsel for the applicant/claimant contended that atleast 9 % p.a. Interest may be awarded from the date of the claim application. Considering the rival submissions, I direct that the amount of Rs.4,00,000/- which is already paid shall carry interest @ 9 % p.a. from the date of order passed in the A.O. Civil Application No.8 of 2015 is accordingly disposed of.

78caa8.15 2/2 In view of this order, Civil Application No.83 of 2015 for speaking to minutes is also disposed of. JUDGE *jais
