The prayer is for declaration that notice dated 05/11/2023 issued by the respondent-Municipal Corporation, Amravati is illegal and the same be quashed and set aside. It is contended that an exorbitant property tax is imposed by the respondent-Municipal Corporation, Amravati.

In our opinion, in view of provisions of Section 406 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949 the petitioner has an alternate remedy for raising challenge to the impugned notice. As such we refrain ourselves from interfering in the writ petition. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to an alternate remedy as available in law. No costs. (Abhay J. Mantri, J.) (Nitin W. Sambre, J.) Asmita
