DATE: 18.02.2020 The applicant is arrested in Crime 135/2019 registered with Police Station Barshitakli, District Akola for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 307 of the Indian Penal Code.

The charge-sheet is filed on 21.06.2019.

I have scrutinized the material on record, and having done so, at this stage I am not inclined to grant bail.

Every witness including the child witness have implicated the applicant and the father and brother of the applicant have also consistently stated that the applicant threatened to set his wife afire. The applicant was holding a kerosene can and the quilt was already set afire.

19ba53.2020.odt 2 Fortunately, the wife of the applicant awoke and with the help of the other family members, the can containing the kerosene was snatched from the hands of the applicant. 5.

It would suffice if the trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and to make an attempt to complete the same as far as possible within four months. If there is no significant progress in the trial in the coming three months the applicant shall be entitled to apply for bail afresh.

Criminal Application is disposed of.
