25/01/2022 ORAL JUDGMENT (Per Sunil B. Shukre, J.) The hearing was conducted through video conferencing and all the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

Heard. Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by consent of the learned counsel for the parties present before the Court through video conferencing.

Judgment WP 127.2022.odt (2) Learned AGP has taken instructions from the respondent No.1 and he states that tribe claim of the petitioner would be decided by the respondent No.1 in accordance with law within a period of six months.

(3) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the period communicated by the respondent No.1 is longer and some reasonable period be prescribed for the respondent No.1 to decide the tribe claim, as the petitioner is interested in making applications for appointment to various government posts on the strength of her tribe claim.

(4) In view of the above, we direct respondent No.1 to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within three months from the date of the receipt of the order.

(5) Rule accordingly. No costs.
