By this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order passed by the respondent no.2, dated 5.5.2015 and has sought a direction to the respondent nos.1 and 2 to hold the elections of the Board of Directors by allowing the proposed amendment of the petitioner-society of constituting the Board of Directors with 20 members.

It is stated on behalf of the petitioner that this writ petition was filed as the appeal filed by the petitioner against the amendment to the bye-laws, before the State Government under Section 152 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act was not decided. It is stated that during the pendency of the writ petition, the State Government has decided the appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 152 of the Act by the order dated 9.2.2016 and the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed in view of the said order. It is stated that by the said order, the State Government has upheld the request of the petitioner to constitute the Board of Directors of the society with 20 members. It is stated that the petition could be disposed of as the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed in view of the order of the State Government.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
